Casual purple - Eye tutorial -

Sometimes purple make-up can look eather amazing or horrible, this is because purple is a delicate color. If you apply purple in the right way it can look amazing, but if you do it wrong it can look like someone has punch you in the eye. My tips on using purple as a eye make-up is that you need to pair it with other 2 or 1 colors (different colors, by the way), it can be a smoky purple using blacks, deep purples and silvers or a girly look like I did, using dark and soft purples and white.

Keep reading and learn how to do this girly purple eye look that you can use in any ocations!

Products and tools used:

Let's begin!

STEP ONE:

Using the white eyeliner pencil, rub it all over the lid. This way we can have a nice base
for the eyeshadows that we are going to use in the next steps.

STEP TWO:

Blend well the white pencil with the ring finger.

STEP THREE:

You may see that I used here a soft cream eyeshadow, but it was a mistake.
In this step you need to apply a white eyeshadow all over the lid. Don't blend too much
because is not necessary.

STEP FOUR:

Using the flat brush (MAC 139), place the light purple (number 1) eyeshadow only in
the crease of the eye.  Making it look like the picture.

And this is how it looks.

STEP FIVE:

With the blending brush (MAC 217), blend the light purple eye shadow in a
'black and forth' motion. Like the arrows describe it.
Blend well but don't over do it!

STEP SIX:

With the flat brush, place the deep purple eyeshadow (number 2) in the outer corner of the
eye, making like a "V" shape with the eyeshadow.
The dark purple is placed in the outer part of the eye because in that way
the eye is going to have depth and don't look to flat.

STEP SEVEN:

Blend the dark purple, only in that "V" motion.
We don't want the dark purple to be in the inner corner.

STEP EIGHT:

With a flat brush or a rounded one, re-apply white eye shadow again, only in the lid.
With this step we want to make whiter the lid because the purple is only
placed at the crease, in this way the whole eye make-up looks cleaner.

STEP NINE:

Use -againg- the white eye pencil and rub it in the lower lash line.

Blend with the ring finger.

STEP TEN:

Using the flat brush and the light purple eyeshadow (Number 1), place it
into the lower lash line and blend.

STEP ELEVEN:

Using the dark purple, place it ONLY in the outer part of the lower lash line.
Blend.

STEP TWELVE:

Do the cat eyeliner. If you don't know how to do it click -here-.
You can use gel liner, liquid liner, a black eye liner pencil or black eyeshadow!

Here I did my liner with a black gel liner using a fine brush I found in a store here in Venezuela, it was so cheap! And the brush is meant to be for lips but I use it as a liner brush :)

STEP THIRTEEN:

Using the white eyeliner pencil, line your water line.
Apply a few coats of mascara.

AND DONE!
